Campus Administrator Academy

Description:

The Campus Administrator Academy (CAA) is a high-impact, practice-based leadership experience designed to equip campus administrators with the skills, mindset, and tools to lead strong instructional improvement through the development of a shared vision for high-quality instruction. The academy provides intentional upfront training, followed by job-embedded implementation support and ongoing coaching to ensure learning translates into effective campus practice.

Through real-world leadership scenarios, administrators strengthen their ability to balance instructional leadership, compliance, and campus culture while building effective systems, coaching capacity, and sound decision-making skills. This comprehensive approach supports sustained implementation and drives continuous campus improvement, resulting in positive outcomes for students, staff, and school systems.

Problem Solving Solutions:

The Campus Administrator Academy provides a structured, systemic induction experience to campus administrators. The Academy assists administrators in developing effective leadership skills and in building their knowledge in areas that will increase student success on the campus.

Monthly full-day courses are designed to be hands-on and interactive, allowing participants to form collaborative relationships among themselves to further expand and extend learning from educator preparation programs to the administrative role on the campus.

All courses are aligned to the SBEC certification standards found in TAC 241.15.

The Definitive Choice:

The Campus Administrator Academy incorporates a mentoring component that supports reflective practice and professional growth. Participation includes interactive and job-embedded courses with information that can be implemented in day-to-day operations. The Campus Administrator Academy aligns with the principles of effective leadership and the SBEC standards required for principal certification.

The program meets the requirements of TAC 241.15, TAC 241.25, and TAC 241.30 for a required induction program. The Campus Administrator Academy provides up to 63 hours of professional development toward the renewal requirements for re-certification. The program also includes full-time support of an expert ESC-20 Leadership Consultant as well as a campus/district leader.

As compared to other principal induction programs in Texas, the competitively priced ESC-20 Campus Administrator Academy offers a potential cost savings of up to $975 per participant and a choice to attend 7 of the 9 monthly training sessions offered throughout the academic year.
