School Counselor Cooperative
Description:
The School Counselor Cooperative provides opportunities for professional development and collaboration within the four components of the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs (Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support) for school counselors and social workers in both elementary and secondary school settings. School systems participating in this cooperative benefit from national, state, and/or local subject matter experts without having to pay high dollar speaker fees.
Problem Solving Solutions:
The school counselor commitment provides opportunities for school system counselors, administrators, and other staff members to attend professional development sessions delivered by national, state, and/or local subject matter experts at an estimated cost savings of $576 per staff member when compared to external vendors.
The Definitive Choice:
The school counseling commitment offers a unique combination of top-notch professional development experiences, collaboration opportunities and counselor support services from consultants that have worked in the school setting. In addition to professional development being offered that is essential to the role of the school counselor and includes comprehensive school counseling centered content, 2026-2027 sessions will also include content tailored to small group counseling and CCMR for Counselors K-12.
