School Health Cooperative

Description:

The School Health Cooperative is designed to provide ongoing professional development and on site educational technical assistance for school health professionals (RN, LVN, MA, EMT), clinic/health assistants, school health education professionals, physical education professionals, and School Health Advisory Councils. Cooperative members may send an unlimited number of staff members to School Health workshops, professional development sessions at either free or reduced rates, space permitting.

School Health Skills Training Resource Library

Access a specialized inventory of health materials and clinical equipment available for checkout. This library allows districts to utilize high-quality training tools without the burden of long-term storage or high purchase costs.

CPR in Schools & First Aid Training Kit
Meet state graduation requirements with ease. This “all-in-one” kit is designed for simplicity—allowing anyone from a layperson to an experienced instructor to teach students life-saving skills.

  • For Students: A turnkey solution to fulfill mandatory graduation requirements.
  • For Staff: An efficient way to train faculty and staff who require skill proficiency but do not need a formal completion card.

PE & Health Curriculum Leadership Academy
Intensive 1-2 day professional development sessions designed specifically for district-level staff overseeing PE and Health curriculum. This academy focuses on leadership development, program management, and the latest trends in school-based wellness to empower your district leaders.

Specialized Training Tracks
Launching SHAC 101 (School Health Advisory Council) and an Introduction to PRS Services (Pregnancy Related Services) to ensure coordinators are fully equipped for these specific roles.

Problem Solving Solutions:

Participation in the School Health Commitment offers school systems the opportunity to have their school nurses, health assistants, physical education teachers and health teachers attend professional development sessions and workshops from subject matter experts without having to pay for high dollar speakers and continuing education accreditation costs. School systems save at minimum an estimated $575 per staff member to attend professional development when compared to external vendors.
